CAD-GIS Integration using AutoCAD Map 3D

During my tenure as a GIS Technician, I contributed to several municipal and site-level planning projects using AutoCAD Map 3D. These projects involved transforming engineering and survey data into clean, geospatially accurate base maps and visual products used for decision-making, stakeholder engagement, and permitting support.

1. Municipal Road Expansion (Base Plan Development) - This project involved generating a base map for road widening and re-alignment. I imported engineering survey data, overlaid it with administrative boundaries and utility corridors, and ensured that the layout complied with municipal planning standards.

2. Lotting Plan for Township Development - I developed a conceptual lotting plan for a residential expansion project. Working closely with planners, I laid out plots, roads, and open space areas within zoning constraints - ensuring integration with existing infrastructure and environmental buffers.

3. Conceptual Plan Using AutoCAD - I created a conceptual layout to support infrastructure development and early-stage planning. The plan combined topographic inputs, parcel boundaries, and access routes -aiding in site feasibility discussions and zoning analysis.
